Requirements
The minimum standard and criteria for candidates who are applying for the WSU Kazakhstan campus are as follows:
Basic Eligibility
- English Test Score: Minimum of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
- Equivalent Tests: IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Oxford Test, CEFR, Duolingo, TEPs, PTE Academic, TOEIC
- Applicants with less that IELTS 5.0 equivalent: If the UNT English score is above 65% or higher (100 point based), the admissions committee will regard this as equivalent as an IELT 5.0 equivalent.
- Applicants with a high UNT score (top 15%), will be waived from submitting an English test

- Unified National Test (UNT) Score Report (Minimum 50): Not applicable for students outside of Kazakhstan
- If the student has an IELTS of 6.0 and above the UNT score will be waived

Application Process
All applications are assessed on an individual basis. The screening and selection process consider the applicant’s English proficiency, UNT score, and the admissions interview with our faculty member.
- Submit all necessary documents online
- The admissions committee will check all the documents
- The applicants will be invited for an admissions interview and below is the level of interview depending on the English score and UNT score levels
