AI / Data Science Curriculum Structure

In the first and second years, the major curriculum consists of a common education program designed to build foundational competencies in programming, software, databases, and system fundamentals, as well as an understanding of the key technology platforms required in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

From the third year onward, the curriculum is divided into specialized tracks in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS). During this phase, students engage in hands-on system development using actual technologies, and learn through real-world case studies involving automation, robotics, and related applications.

[ 1st/2nd Year ]

1st and 2nd graders will gain core knowledge of SW. They will also focus on building core competencies for Data Science and AI. To this end, programming capabilities are built through about 380 problems based learning.

[ 3rd/4th Year ]

When the third grade, you will choose your specialized field with AI and Data Science.
AI and Data Science share a great number of core technology fields. Learning related skills reflects the needs and characteristics of the actual market. To this end, projects are carried out every semester, and in-depth understanding is secured centering on actual market cases.

[ Minor Track ]

Woosong University Kazakhstan requires all students to complete an 18-credit minor program to equip them with essential skills applicable across various industries. In addition to courses focused on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS), the university also offers internationally recognized certification programs. Furthermore, the minor curriculum may be adjusted or expanded annually based on the development of Woosong University's core academic fields in Korea and evolving market trends.

Business convergence Program with Solbridge

The application of AI and Data Science (DS) is essential in today’s business environment. Therefore, students may select certain courses offered at SolBridge to complete a Business Convergence minor. Through this pathway, students will also have the opportunity to earn a certification from the SolBridge Business Program.

AI Product Design with Global Certification(Cloud)

This minor track empowers AI and Data Science majors to transform technical knowledge into real-world products by combining design thinking, business modeling, responsible AI, and global certifications. Through six curated courses-including certificates from AWS and a UX design program-students gain hands-on experience and complete a capstone project that simulates launching a viable AI product. Graduates are prepared for roles such as AI product manager, cloud-based solution consultant, UX strategist, or tech entrepreneur, with industry-recognized credentials that strengthen their global career prospects.
